OzOmnis is the Australian version of the highly acclaimed EurOmnis and OmnisCentral Americas Omnis Developers Conference organized for and by the Omnis Developer Community. OzOmnis has been designed to give Australian, New Zealand and South East Asian developers a chance to meet face to face, to exchange experiences, to develop new ideas, and to get to know the latest developments in the Omnis world.

OzOmnis has been organised in strict compliance with the non-marketing focus of both EurOmnis and OmnisCentral Americas . Omnis and other technical issues will predominate. The teams of all these conferences have established a close working relationship so we can bring you consistent, quality Omnis conferences in the three main territories.

OzOmnis 2006 will be held over 4 nights and three and a half days and this year boasts many more tracks and several repeated tracks. There will be a choice of three tracks in the mornings and two in the afternoons and evenings. Tracks have been shortened, particularly in the evening in response to Delegate requests. We are planning hands-on workshops, so bring your Laptops. In addition, there will be a few tracks not directly relating to Omnis but rather to other areas of the computer industry. There will be conference rooms with AV equipment for all formal sessions and many smaller meeting areas for informal discussions.

The conference will commence Saturday night October 28 with full day sessions on Sunday 29, Monday 30, Tuesday 31 and half day Wednesday November 1, 2006. The new venue is the Westpac Conference Centre at Ingleside in the magnificent northern beach areas, Sydney Australia! Just like the EurOmnis and OmnisCentral Americas conferences, the conference fee includes all accommodation, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, coffee breaks and transportation to and from Sydney Airport. The Westpac Conference Centre has Broadband, so developers will have access to the same facilities enjoyed at our sister conferences in the northern hemisphere. OzOmnis will provide a computer lab set up for delegates with Ethernet and Wireless access, the same will be available throughout the Hotel too. You will be able to use the network to access e-mail and Internet 24 hours a day. Session documentation and demo libraries will also be made available on the network.
